randyman
I got all my lights hooked up and when I plugged my USB485 converter in I got a message "USB Device Not Recognized". This is the same computer I used last year. I tried the FTCwipe and driver reload i saw in an earlier post but it didn't work. I tried it on my laptop I use for troubleshooting outside and got the same message. Could my USB485 converter be bad? Is LOR the only place to get one? Can I get one locally? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Max-Paul
yes it is possible that your converter has gone bad. But so is the chance that your cord has gone bad. unplug and replug in your cord between the converter and computer. So I am talking about the mini usb connector and cord. Do you by chance have a spare USB to mini USB cable to swap out to check the cord? If it does turn out to be the cord. Make sure the new cord has the ferrite bead like the old one. Denny
I received the same message. I ignored it and everything seemed to work OK, ie, the hardware utility as I haven't started my show yet.
