dsnjs03
Dear Light-O-Rama Staff,Have been a huge fan of you guys for approximately 6 years now. Love the product, have it myself. BUT I have one serious complaint about the company and I am sure that I do not speak for myself! When, oh when are you going to release a version of your software for Apple computers? I do not want to run bootcamp or parallel on my MAC, that is the whole reason I left it in the first place! Its the fastest growing computer anywhere, sales far blowing out PC in every category but you have not made your software available to us yet!Is there any time frame when you will have a version available for us? I will not be using my equipment this year because of this and I hope that in the near future you will be releasing one!David
funnyent
I have been running my show in VmWare with Windows 7, but it works pretty well. I would love a Mac version, but as it would only apply to a few of us, I doubt it would be worth their time or money to try to develop for the Mac platform. jimswinder
Posting it three different times is just going to [Foul Language Used] them off...
dsnjs03
funny,I am sure with the amount of people who use it there are more than a "few" of us!jims,Posting it twice was more to get responses from different groups "newbies" are for the new people where the other would hopefully get the more experienced users. Not trying to [Foul Language Used] anyone off.

dsnjs03
sorry not at this time, I still plan on using them. but dont blame you for asking!!!
gizmomkr
It never hurts to ask BUT....1. You knew EXACTLY what S2 did and DID NOT support when you bought it.2. To the best of my knoledge, LOR has never hinted / implied / inferred or made any statment that would lead you to believe a MAC version was on its way.3. You have a VALID workaround. you COULD VMware / BootCamp it, you just dont want to.I am a fan of BOTH pc and MAC - but I'd much rather see some basic utilities for the ipad than I would "Showtime S2" for mac.Something like an ipad hardware utility. But I also see some significant challenges on the programing side of things since ipad has no way of directly connecting a RS485 adapter.E1.31 holds much promise. LOR has made some statments about E1.31 and a much greater channel capacity in the future. So, I look forward to what may be in the future there.Meanwhile, why dont you use another software package ? There are a handfull of MAc products for controlling DMX - http://www.cuelux.com/
edvas69
Well the same could be said for when are they going to release a Linux version as lots of people use linux. In the end it is a windows based program, you purchased the hardware and the software knowing this. But to complain that there is no Mac version is your own issue for choosing to run a mac. Macs are great but are limited in their sofware choices and this is due to the fact that Macs dont have a large market share compared to windows based PCs.Ive heard the same rumblings with Linux users. In the end you choose the operating system but when you do you must take all the limitations that may come from that choice.I as a windows based PC user would hate to see time taken away from devlopment of LOR to satisfy a minority of users to create a Mac or linux version, this would also most probably impact on price as well.In the end one of the reasons i have not gone to a mac is the fact that i know my software choices will be limited and for that fact alone im happy to deal with windows. You got any insights on that?I am, of course, just teasing in a good natured way.

Site? Everything I have read is that their market share has increased (do to ipad) but Apple still hovers around 5th place for PC manufactures with a total market share about 8%.
