Ran out of SPT1 Female Plugs late yesterday, East coast time ...I know right, I contact my regular guy..Darryl...he's out, suggsts Action Lighting out in Montana.

I call them up, its about 4 PM EST, ask if they have them, yup, we sure do...I jump online, place my order, and do next day shipping, you know, cuz its a fricken emergency! I call to confirm and say, hey, placed order, just wanted to put it on your radar...guy says it will ship tomorrow, which is today actually...well, they got them out yesterday late, and UPS shows up at my desk in FLORIDA at 10 AM..with box in hand...plus...plus, the rate that was on the website for next day shipping...they didn't charge me anywhere near that...I am a big fan now of the service that Action LIghting embodies! THank you!

I agree Action Lighting has good service...but I must complain about their C9 SPT-2 Sockets.

Bought a bag of 100 for my strobes...and out of the first 10 I put on my SPT2 wire, only 2 worked!! And you can't remove the base without it breaking to re-attach them to the wire.

The part that is SUPPOSED to press the wire into the Vampire Spikes of the socket don't go down far enough to force the spikes into the wire.

Finally had to use and insert a thick piece of zip tie between the wire and the piece that pushes the wire into the spikes...

I had a problem with SPT1 Female Plugs from AL this year. Same problem as Jim stated, the Vampire Spikes did not go down far enough to force the spikes into the wire. After connecting about 20 wires that way, only 1 worked :(

What I had to do is push the wire down before sliding the cover on. Seems the cover is not pushing the wire down. I also had a old set from last year and had no problem with those. The old set has a lighter green color to this years. This year is a dark green. Maybe a different vendor??

This was only the SPT1 Female. No problems with Male...as usual ;)

If you are waiting on Female plugs..you won't see them this year from Darryl, he said he is out, and they come from China, so may be awhile.

That is good to know..I usually plug each of my new cords in to something before I run off with them into the show. The Females I got were or are the lighter green, but the additional Males I ordered seem to be the darker green...I'll know more in 24 hours!

I have been buying from them for 3 years and I've never been disappointed with their products or service. Granted I've never had to get a hold of their customer support so I can't comment on that aspect of AL, but that right there should say something about their products, order filling, packaging, and shipping. :)

I bought 1,000 of C9 sockets 6" spacing for my house this year.

I went through about 150 spare sockets replacing bad ones that were on the string off the roll. I have about 800 lights on my house. That is almost a 20% failure rate.

It took up a LOT of my extra time.

I don't see myself needing more in the near future but I was not happy at all with the quality. They did send me an extra bag off 100 sockets but that still does not offset the lost hours pulling off old sockets are replacing them with new ones.
