rstately Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Can you run two lines out from the showtime DC-MP3?I think I read that you could, but I can't find it anywhere?I want to run one line to the roof, and the other to the front yard.Just like you would from the network repeater.
-klb- Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 The full mp3 director has two jacks on it, and can be anywhere in the string, just like any controller. The mini director only has one, and must be at an end. (but you can use the repeated with it if you need the Y.
rstately Posted November 22, 2010 Author Posted November 22, 2010 Thanks, Yes I have the 1602MP3, But can come off it going in two different directions, one jack going to the controllers on the roof, the other jack going to the yard?
-klb- Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 That comes with one cable connecting the director to the controller. You can run from the open RJ-45 on the base controller to one string of controllers, and from the open RJ-45 on the director card to another string of controllers. The end result is one single daisy chain of LOR hardware,, which is exactly what we want.
rstately Posted November 22, 2010 Author Posted November 22, 2010 Thanks, that's what I needed to know!I wish I could come to Texas to see your show, but no time:(Thanks again!
-klb- Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Heck, I wish I could get decent video of it. It covers the entire end of a city bock. That first year, I could get a foreshortened angle from all the way to the north end of the viewing area that worked well, covered everything, and gave me a good base to add other camera angles. Since then, they have moved parking more south, and we have changed our layout to suit. That original spot is now behind one of our layout lines. I have not been able to find another angle where my camera will cover it all, that is not somehow obstructed sight line. One of these years I may figure it out.
rstately Posted November 24, 2010 Author Posted November 24, 2010 Maybe you could do a drive through video?
