leds with standard light bulbs

Can you power a led string and a standard light bulb with lor. For example i have a north pole light with a standard 60 watt bulb in it and an outlet on the side to connect a string of leds to will this work?

lor connection---- male plug----- 60 watt light bulb--- outlet---- led string

Yes as long as the LED string is 120 volts.

but will they both dim and all the other options

The 60 volt bulb will not hurt the dimming.
