Now that I've put everything out (except props) I noticed that I have too many moving parts that are clashing!! UGH! My front yard is so small or I have too much stuff! I need to rework somethings now. Tried doing it in my sleep, that didn't work. Stayed up ALL night long thinking. Its Nov 10th right? I have time!

Tip for newbies: Don't have too many moving parts together unless their tied together. Time to relook @ the sequences and start deleting some movement from certain areas. That means listening to all 50 songs, AGAIN. Joy to the World!!!!!

I have a small lawn too and a lot of animated coro figures. The great thing is only one at a time are on for certain songs they do. I only have one song when I have every one of them singing together on a song I mixed for it. Have not ran it in real time yet to see what happens. Than will happen Friday if weather permits. Snow last night. Once everything is running I wont worry about weather.

I try to get all my "moving parts" to work together or play off each other in the sequencing.

You can't have all your dancers on the stage doing their own thing. They will run into each other. They can do different things but it needs to be choreographed to work together.

Having them do the same thing together all the time doesn't work either. It get boring.

Luckily, for me...Its not all the songs. I did catch a few that had issues. I'm fixing those now, not as difficult as I thought. Copy / Paste / Delete keys getting worn out.

I'll be a pro at this in 20 yrs :)

I have a small-ish yard too so trying to fill it with 8 minitrees, a 16' megatree, 4 arches, 4-6 deer, a manger, small garden arch and Island of Misfit Toys props is really tough.. May have to place the minis against the garage door just to spread out everything.. I haven't even THOT of the lighting clashing with the animatronics yet!

No animatronics for me yet.. Mostly lawn lights, mini trees and floods. Not even a mega tree (not brave enough yet). :(

Don't ever try to stop a post in the middle of posting, you'll end up with a double post.

No kidding! I bought all my songs from WoW this year. I did some customization and it still took forever. Can't imagine starting from scratch with that many songs.

But of course I work. My line of work on days allows me to sequence, sometimes for hours. And remember I began January 3rd.

Not all songs are from scratch either. I've gathered some from the people here and reworked them. Thats a time saver! If I have the beat down, the rest is easy. Its the beat I struggle with.
