TJ Hvasta
When you plug it in and the new hardware found process unfolds, at somepoint it will tell you the name of an *.inf or *.sys file for the deviceit wants the driver for. The name is unique to the device and usuallyrelates to a manufacturer's name or something like that.If the name is, as an example, abcd.inf do a google search for "abcd.infdriver" or "abcd.sys driver" and that might turn it up.A second way is to do a google search for any brand names marked on thedevice. One of the most commonly used USB to serial bridges is the PrologicPL-2303. A google search for "PL-2303 driver" will produce a driverthat will work if that happens to be the chip in your device.Just checked.. I actually have a driver that would probably work with yours. It's for the ProLific PL2303.. I have it for XP and I think Vista.. should work with 7 too.. PM me your email addy and I'll see if I can get it to you..
