Terry Hurrle
I want to stop my show for a brief time when Judy Pancoast does her concert. Can I just click disable for that time and the enable at the end of the concert and have the show play again for the duration? During the concert I have a sequence that will loop for the time of the concert to keep lights on. Can that sequence be started by just starting it and having control lights checked?Terry

As soon as you re-enable the shows, the software will look at the scheduler to see what it should be doing. Since a show is scheduled to run, it will start the show. With the shows disabled, you would be able to run a sequence from the Sequence Editor, which control lights checked (as you mentioned.) Steven
With version 2.7.4 or later, you can use "Show On Demand". This will cause the show player to gracefully stop whatever show is currently playing, meaning that the current musical sequence playing will be allowed to finish, and then your demand show will play. The advantage is that a song will not be stopped abruptly, and you can have the lights stay on during the transition, making it look smoother. The disadvantage is that if the current sequence is just starting, then it may not end soon enough for you. -klb-
Show on demand gives you the choice of graceful, or immediate start. Other things I like about show on demand, is that you don't have to disable shows, and either start sequence editor, or tell sequence editor to control lights, then start it looping. To transition back, you will have to stop the sequence editor. Close it out, or disable control of lights, and then enable control panel. With show on demand, it is right click the control panel. Pick show on demand. Pick your show. Choose how to disable what is currently happening, and click OK. Then at the end, right click. Select stop show on demand. Select if it is supposed to end immediately, or gracefully. Click OK..Seems to me like show on demand will be a cleaner way to do it. Do walk through it once or twice in advance to have a good feel for it.
