Guest guest Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 Okay... remember we are newbie to the point of "backward", so please explain like you were talking to a first grader, if you are kind enough to reply. Trying to hang our Halloween lights now in anticipation of the LOR arriving soon. Got lots of extension cords and we are ready to go, other than...How many lights can we plug into each channel? I understand that different lights draw different power so we bought that "watts up" reader, that one of reccommended (thatnks very much, btw).So...if I use my reader to figure out how much each strand (or link of strands) uses - how many can I plug into each LOR channel? Thanks thanks thanks!Susy
Guest guest Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 Assuming that you have the CTB-16D 30amp controller ...8 amp per channel MAX.15 amps per SIDE - MAX30 amps TOTAL (for the controller.)Check out this entry from the LORWiki. What does all that mean above? Well, you could load up each channel to 8amps, max. However, you couldn't have them all on at one time because you would go over the 15amps per SIDE max.
Guest guest Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 Cool!Okay, thanks, that made sense even to the electrically-challenged like me.And thanks for the Wiki link, I thought Wiki was a blog so I hadn't gone there yet. Thanks again,Susy
