Jim Hans Posted October 28, 2010 Share Posted October 28, 2010 I downloaded the newest firmware version for the DC-MP3 to my computer and tried to install it. I get an error that says "invalid datablock poll response". Downoaded the file again, tried again, same error.DC-MP3 won't work at all now. In the hardware Utility it shows under firmware V254.250.I am using hardware utility version 2.8.12. To update the firmware I clicked on the firmware button at the bottom. In step 1 I selected MP3, in step 2 I selected the file and in stop 3 I selected download.What did I do wrong? How can I un-crash the DC-MP3? How can I un-crash the DC-MP3?Jim, to UNDO what you just did, find the firmware revision you either upated from ealrier or re-download the previous firmware revision. Go into the Hardware utility and reload the previous firmware. Your MP3 Director should now be back to working order. I had the same thing happen when I tried to update, going back to the last revision of the firmware reset and allowed my MP3 to function properly.There must be something wrong in the new firmware file, because a lot of folks are getting errors and having issues with trying to install it.But so the above and you should be back to normal.
