MikeA
How do you all mark your cables (out of the controller) with channel number. Need something weather proof.

-klb-
I use silver sharpie. I write the channel numbers both on the sides of the plugs, which work well when cords are plugged in, and I write the numbers on the ends of cords as well. The reason for both, is that it is faster to grab all the pigtails and face their bottom ends towards you than it is to rotate each until you can read the label on the side. The reason for the label on the side, is that once you have cords plugged in, it is faster to rotate them, than unplug them to read them. George Simmons
Sharpies work well. Paint pens work well too and seem to hold up longer than Sharpies.

I marked it on all 4 sides of the plug since when all the extension cords are attached, it gets tight and hard to find the proper cord.

Greg Young
Like the others - I use a black sharpie on the white vampire plugs, a gold/siler one on the brown vampire plugs.Cable labels are great and easy to read, but they would get in the way when I pull the cables through the pvc conduit I use to route the cables from inside to outside of the house.Greg
PaulXmas
Sharpie is your friend!Last year I used masking tape and a black sharpie in the controllers but the tape is starting to come off and the numbers are starting to fade.I used a silver sharpie to mark my new controllers (looks better). For the extension cords I will use tape because I will be using different cords for different channels. JeffF
Another black Sharpie person here. The controllers I marked three years ago still look great.
