Terry Hurrle
I want to set my lap top so it is always on during my show. I changed the poser settings but it keeps reverting back to the original setting. I set both battery and plugged in setting to do nothing and I get a message saying "indicates two revision levels are incompatible". Any suggestions?Terry

jim6918
A number of different models of laptops have their own proprietary power savings options, often in conflict with Windows. I use Toshibas exclusively at work and find this to be true with every model we own. On the Toshibas, they usually squawk when you try to set power options in the Control Panel and tell you you have to do it in the Toshiba function. Pretty sure a few of the Dells I worked had something similar. If you are an experienced user, you might check MSCONFIG to see whats running on Startup. jim6918
Might have found some information about this issue after Googling the error message:"indicates two revision levels are incompatible"http://support.microsoft.com/kb/302713http://www.windowsitpro.com/article/tips/xp-power-scheme-fix.aspxMight give them a read to see if they apply to you.The second article is a little more techie and involves editing the Registry, always a minefield. There are more hits on Google.
Dave Batzdorf
on win7 you can search for the power save settings and it will get you to the right spot. Had to do that to the wife's laptop, kept on going into hibernate even though the screen saver was turned off.

At least thats what I had to do.
