Going to see TSO Live!

Just thought I'd share...

I got two tickets to see Trans Siberian Orchestra Live on Nov. 3rd. I think it should be a pretty good show based on the video they have on their website. http://www.trans-siberian.com/tour1/index.php

It should give me some pretty good ideas for sequencing too!
I wonder if they would let me have their sequence? LOL.

I am going to the TSO concert here in Salt Lake City on the 18th. I looks like they have sold out at the 4:00pm concert already and very few tickets left for the 8:00pm show.

Got my tickets for the 6th in Peoria. I know I should be sequencing but I can spare a few hours to see them. Drink a lot of beer and dream of wish I had all those light screens and lasers with fire ect. I have seen the trucks they use. I lost count on 15 semi's.

Went last year in St. Louis. Ended up getting a seat on the floor in the rear. Not bad and could have been closer to the main stage if I had gotten a lower bleacher seat. But, turns out that we where back behind the guys mixing and controlling the lights and fire pots. Well turns out that there is a small secondary stage just off of our elbows and a guy and gal jumps up on the Aux stage and it is lifted above our heads. So, all in all we had a great time. Oh and some of those fire pots where back near us. Every time they went off we could feel the heat off of them. Was going to go again this year, but the 30th of Dec was just to late to get the same warm fuzzy Christmas feeling like last year.

I will be there nov 3rd as well, you going early or late. We are late, 6th time I think going to this show, just love it. Only wish it was later in the season but since they use the MAC as their rehearsal point, we get the first show of the season.

I am dragging my wife to the show on November 21st in San Jose, CA. Hopefully she enjoys the show as much as I will. We got seats on the ground floor but 20 rows back from the stage.

I have gone the last two years. Sitting looking straight at the stage was best. First year I sat on the side and missed the lasers and some of the background. Not going this year. Too much still to get done before I start setting up for my first LOR season.

Man, am I jealous. I've gone to see them for the past two years in a row. First year we were in the second row center in Jacksonville, and last year, we were in the third row center in Tampa. My daughter got a drum stick from Jeff Plate both years, and last year, my daughter and my wife both got jean jackets that they threw off the stage at the end of the show...

AND, as a surprise, TSO played a few songs with Eagles guitarist and singer Joe Walsh last year (as in - "life's been good to me so far...My Mazeratti does 195, I lost my license, now I don't drive", etc.).

We just couldn't make the plans in time this year :), and after seeing them up close and personal twice, I do not want to sit too far back...

You will LOVE the show - they do a great job!!!!

  • 2 weeks later...

Damn, that is just too cool to say anything other than fantastic Friskybri. Dang that just makes the show so much better and in front row to boot. Good for you man.

Congrats Bri,

Don't forget your sunglasses. Seriously!!!

I had a 3rd row seat a couple years ago when I went.

Join the TSO Fan Club and you get first pick/advance sale on tickets. I was sitting at the computer, finger poised on the enter key the day the presale happened for Colorado Springs and got tickets in the first section stage left. A week later you couldn't find anything anywhere near there.

And yes, the comment about sunglasses is for real.

Praying for decent weather since the venue is an hour's drive from home.

I gotta say, having seen them 7 years running, the best seats to me are in the back where you can see all of the effects. This year for once I got seats up front, you can see the performers much better but all of the lasers are going over your head and you are too close for my taste to appreciate the lighting

Just my 2/100 of a dollar.

Rick
