Aixelsyd
On the LOR1602W when the device is powered on what is the default setting for power to the outlets? I'm curious as like what would happen if there is a power outage and the power comes back but the controlling PC doesn't.ThanksJason
TJ Hvasta
There is no power to the outlets unless the triacs are triggered on any of the controllers.. without the program to tell them to trigger, the outlets should be dead/safe..
Steven
Sometimes I see the channels flash briefly on for a fraction of a second when the unit is plugged in. I believe the triac outputs may be in an indeterminate state before the microprocessor resets.
-klb-
The outputs of either the micro controller or the latching gates that split to the two banks of outputs, (or both) have an undefined power up state. This can cause some fraction of the channels to be powered up for a small fraction of a second as the micro controller initializes, and writes off to all the channels. So far, I only consider that to be a nuisance issue at most.Beyond that initialization point, unless the box is configured to run stand alone, it will leave the channels off, unless some device on the RS-485 buss tells it to turn channels on. So for a PC based show, things should stay off once the controllers initialize, and until the PC is back to turn things on.
Aixelsyd
Great, thank you all for the responses. I just bought the LOR1602Wstarter system and waiting on it to arrive and was curious about the defaults.
