controller 2 plays the same as controller1

I just figured out that the reason when i make changes to my arches they look great on the animation on the computer but outside there is some movements that aren't even close.So I turned off the 8 channels on my 2 unit and the still played To make a long story short the 2nd controller is playing the exact same show as my 1st controller.S o how do I set up my 2nd conroller as the 2nd controller . When I bought the two at same time I don't remeber setting up the 2nd controller as unit 2. How do I do that?

Pretty much your solution in a nutshell. You need to connect your cord to the controller you want to be controller 2 and only that controller. Don't connect your cat 5 or phone cord to both, just the one you want to be controller 2. After that open your hardware utility. Have the hardware utility find the unit. Than assign the controller unit 02.

You will need to go into your Hardware utility and change it that way. Connect just the second controller up and open the Hardware utility, in the "Select Unit to Configure...Download..Test", select your Comm port, and refresh it. there you can change the unit id.

Unless you have dials on the controller itself, then you just change the dial from 1 to 2.

Make sure that in your sequence that you have a second controller controlling something. What I mean is, make sure that your sequences are sending out information for controller 02. You can check this by going to you Channel Property Grid(in the tools menu).
