How do I set channel configuration with hardware

Hi:

I sure do appreciate the help that I have received from the Newbee area of this forum, but now that I am moving along, I have a question about set up.

Is there a way to, after your sequences are done, to assign the channels to specific controllers and then further to specific plugs in the controllers?

This needs to be done to reduce the electrical cord runs.

Yes. Open your sequencer editor. At the top under tools tab there is Channel property grid. This is where you assign everything. I have a blank template I made with no music.Best thing to do is open one of your songs erase all. Save as 2010 template. Then assign all channels using Channel property grid. Under edit tab I export export channel configuration. Label it as 2010 for this years setup. One you have that done you can open any of your songs and import your 2010 channel config and all is good. In your 2010 template is also where you store you visualizer picture. If confused just pm me and I will send my cell number and I will walk you through it.
Good Luck
Don C.

Thanks super Don:)

What this means is that I can wire the entire system, using the plugs randomly where I need them, cords are shortest and where power use works out best, then reconfigure the channel grid to what is actually happening, then import the sequences so that it all works as it is supposed to when I created the songs and sequences as I am doing now. Right?
