Bob Wingert
Bought this snowflake sometime in March, 36" plastic frame. It came with Incan lights which NOW I will not be using. I love the frame, its the perfect size. Tried taking a strand of LED's to outline it with but no luck. It looks like the lights that came with it have been spliced or something and several pieced together to fit all the angles. I have no idea how I can my LED's in there?? FYI: Not good with splicing, soldering etc..No skills ... Maybe anyone seen one like this forsale? Without dropping $300. Anyone, Buehler?? Buehler?? Thanks again. Galen
You might try here: http://www.christmas-leds.com/category.aspx?categoryID=177They have several styles of snowflakes, some similar to what you have.Galen
Max-Paul
My friend,If only you lived a few hundred miles from me. I would meet you some where midway and you could give it to me to do my thing. Then we could meet again and I would transfer it back to you with LED lights. Wish we lived closer, I would love to do this for you.My only suggestion is to make friends with someone that lives close to you who has the skills and understands LEDs. How about looking up the local tech school and see if the teacher would help you find someone who has the skills? Explain it is for your Christmas display.. I think you will be surprised how friendly and helpful people are when you tell them about your display and why you want to change out the incans for LEDS. You know, all of that blinky, blinky burns out those icans. Not good to be up on the roof changing out bulbs in the snow / cold

Thanks again.I purchased one that looks very similar from Target about 5 years back. I took out the incandescents (I forget if 100 count or 140, but I think 100), and replaced them with warm white LEDs (mini sized). They did not totally fit in the channel, as their bases are wider, so I used plastic cable wraps to secure them. It worked out perfectly, and since they are LEDs and don't burn out, I have been saved climbing 70 feet up one of my towers to change bulbs! One climb to install, and one to take down each season, and that's it!Greg
Bob Wingert
@ Greg - Was it like a 100ct stand or Icicle's that you were able to weave in?@ Paul - Man I wish I could just let you fix it. Thanks for the offer!! Must be nice to know how to fix certain things. I was ungifted with talent like that, but....I can read your face and tell ya what 2 cards your holding

Cray Augsburg
You make a great point, Steven. However, the phrase "what's the worst that could happen?" kinda reminds of the last words a redneck says . . ."Here, y'all. Watch this!", or better yet"Here. Sumbody hold my beer!"LOL
Max-Paul
God I love this place. If words were like a volley ball game. Steven set up the spike with "Whats the worse that could happen". And then Clay came along and spiked the ball with his "Someone hold my beer" routine.Got a great chuckle from reading those two post and visualizing the above.Hey pkrplr, some of it is talent that we seem to be born with. But the majority is applying one's self to it. And some practice to boot. Like I am not good at sports. But I think I could become a fair poker player with some instructions and practice. I bet with some instructions and some practice you could do a fair job soldering. Also some book learning and you too can swap out icans and replace with LED. But no, this is not a 1 for 1 swap so dont try that, or we will be able to call you bubba. Are you going to try out the Tech school idea that I offered up? You do have Tech schools there in S.C., right? And they do offer up more than planting and harvesting cotton and peanuts? Just funning ya, my friend. I know that they also teach ya how to win playing cards so you can take the money of them rich northerners when they come down south to gamble. Bob Wingert
Been there done that with "whats the worst that can happen" ... Learned more than 1 valuable lesson from those infamous words. The Tech school is only a few miles from me, I will give them a call.I give you do-it-yourselfers a lot of credit! Instead of a book worm, I'm more of a hands on, show me 1 time and I'm good. In all honesty when it comes to reading things, they just dont comprehend into my brain. Its got to be visual. That was the only way I was able to assemble the LOR boxes. Youtube saved me throwing them down the street. The instructions may as well been in Chineese. Believe me, I do try, it just never sinks in Max-Paul wrote: God I love this place. If words were like a volley ball game. Steven set up the spike with "Whats the worse that could happen".
