GS
Is there a way to keep a string of lights on between songs when using the mp3 director?
David Barnett
Hi GS I've done this with my shows. I'll play my musical stuff, then do a short 1 min break; then start second half of show.During the break, I have my lights fade full on and slowly fade full off..then show starts.i simply created an animation sequence just for the lights. Save it, and at it to your MP3 show using the hardware thingy. Works great. Hope that helps. Pretty quick to cretae as well. Since it's jsut a section ON/OFF. Took me about 5 min to create a seq, for Reds ON/OFF; then after the second half of the show...had the Greens ON/OFF.Hope this helps you.Best,David

I'm a big fan of fade fillers and use them between shows. I want my FM and FM signs to stay on/lit between songs. If kept onto the very end of a song will that channel stay on? I'm concerned about a blink between songs.Glenn

I would doubt folks would even notice it...Greg
Guest guest
I have some "animated" items that are not motorized, just lights that create an illusion of a bat flapping its wings that has its own controller. I have it connected to LOR and the sequnce is strictly ON/OFF. I turn it on at the beginning of the sequence and I leave it on all the way to the end of the sequence. I have some other items that I do this with as well. I have never noticed a blink between sequences on any of them. They seem or appear to stay on right on through the next sequence and only go out when I send the OFF command in a sequence to turn them off.I am using the LOR MP3 Showtime Director unit, I also use the LOR Hardware utility to set up and run my shows at specific times. My show runs from 7pm untiol 11pm and I use the "Run Show Every Hour" and lights on between shows. Now after my show terminates I have a seqence (10 minute) that turns on my spot light that lights up the yard and display area as well as shimmers my 5 Jack-O-Lanterns all night long, I set the sequence up in the Hardware utility by telling it to start at 11:01pm and end at 6:58am, there is and has been absolutely no off/on or flicker when the 10 minute time limit has been reached, everything just continues on like nothing ever changed. I also set this as a run continually show. I also do this with a 2 second sequence that powers the spotlight and Jack-O-Lanterns OFF at 6:58am, this runs from 6:58-6:59, then my OFF HOURS sequences start at 7am 'til 6:50pm to play Halloween music during the shows down time.I have never noticed a flicker, blink or anything that would be at all noticeable using the LOR MP3 Showtime Director running my shows or between sequences if I leave some lights on and have others off.
