Try to reinstall your RS485 Adapter, and/or the cable running from your computer to the first controller. Sounds to me like you have a communication issue.

Are you sure you have the correct comm port selected?

How about in S2 you have the "Control Lights" selected?

I’m having similar problems.
Hardware utility works fine; it finds my com port and the 3 boxes but doesn’t seem to save the settings.
When I try to run a sequence in the Editor there is no output to the boxes at all.
I have the control lights option ticked in the sequence editor.
:)

To control the lights with the Sequence Editor make sure of the following:

1. Make sure the software is registered and is not the DEMO version (Look at the top line of the program)...

2. No other LOR programs are using the comm port. (Stop Hardware Utility and Disable Shows on the LOR control Panel.

3. The small box at the bottom right of the Sequence Editor is blue (not red or orange)... Blue means you have opend the comm port successfully.

4. The channels in the sequence are configured as LOR controllers with the correct Unit IDs.

5. Control Lights is enabled ( in the Play Menu)...

If the Sequence Editor cannot get the comm port open then most likely it is a configuation problem or another LOR program is running.

WHen you say that the Hardware Utility does not save the settings does that mean when you start the hardware utilty it is pointing to the incorrect comm port?

By now you know what the correct comm port is so if you start the Hardware Utility Program and it starts with the wrong comm port then you should select the correct comm port. It should then ask if this is the port you want to use for shows... Say Yes..

The sequence editor also has a commuincation configuration which sould be set when you run the hardware utilty but you can check that as well. Start the Sequence Editor then click Edit->Preferences->Network Preferences and make sure that the comm port for the "regular network" is the correct one that you discovered in the Hardware Utility.

Cheers Dan
I uninstalled everything and reinstalled from scratch after running Ccleaner.
Re configured all settings as per your check list and it worked fine.
I must have set something up wrong first time round or somthing.
Thanks for the check list I have a print off in the door of my first Box with setting and the like on it so I have added that check list to it.:]

Many thanks.

Steve.
