mikehorrocks
Ok, so I thought I would share this in the newbie section. If you go to www.thegreatpumpkin2010.blogspot.com you can see/follow the progress of the pumpkins.Lessons learned.(1) If you do the two part PCV plan like I did and you use the union joints to bring them together, make sure that those are together when you glue. I thought "Hey make perfect cuts and then I can bring the two pieces together and the smaller parts will be easier to work with". Well, even though my cuts were perfect, when I glued everything together, I was off by about 1/8 of an inch. Not much, but it does make it so they take just a little work to put them together.(2) Light rope! Light rope! Light rope! Ok, I am a newbie and did not even know about this stuff. I bought minis at Lowes and used them. I don't get the sharp lines, but I keep telling myself that I am going for the flickering candle flame like look. Light rope is next year!(3) Don't misplace or let your kidos play with the FM transmitter. I CANNOT FIND IT NOW. I may have to buy one..anyone have a good idea. Best Buy, the Shack, etc? Thanks to everyone that helped me get this.p.s. my kids love it (and that is why I do it).

jjdurrant
Nicely done! How tall are they?
mikehorrocks
They are 7*6 and 5*4. I made them in two sections each so the largest when I break it down is 3 1/2 * 6 so I can store them easy.
