Denny
Can the iDMX1000 be controlled by the LOR 1600 in stand alone mode using an animation sequence?I have been asked to provide lighting for a high school band booster Fall Festival. Unfortunately, I have other commitments that day and cannot be at the festival. All the lighting that they want to use is DMX controlled. There would be minimal fades and most of the lighting will be constantly on. I thought the easiest way to do this would be to do a repeating 1 or 2 minute animated sequence, loaded into the memory of one of my 1600 controllers. When power is applied to the 1600, the sequence would begin and run continuously until unplugged.
Dennis Cherry
iDMX Manuals says:"Starting a Standalone SequenceIf a standalone sequence has been downloaded intothe flash memory of the iDMX-1000, the Selectbutton may be used to start it. See the StandaloneMode section for more information.Standalone ModeA stand alone animation sequence (sequence withno accompanying audio) can be downloaded into theflash memory of the iDMX-1000’s micro. This sequence can contain approximately 5,000LOR commands. These commands can also be forcontrollers other than this iDMX-1000, so thiscontroller can direct a network of controllers inaddition to the DMX fixtures attached to it.
