INCD Lights Flash

On a set of 100 InCD mini lights I have a few strings that when you replace the burnt out bulb the new one flashes bright then goes out. tried this 3 times, same thing. I look inside and the wires look fine. the rest stay on but blows that one bulb. Any ideas on what is causing this. I didn't want to unwrap the arch just for the one bulb.

My first thought is that the lamps you're using as replacements aren't the same voltage as those that were in there originally.

you could be right. I will pull one from the same string and put it in to see if anything happens. this stinks that I started my 4 day trip and wont be able to test that theory until Thursday afternoon.

You are able to take a 4 day trip (and not work on your display) 8 weeks before Thanksgiving!?!?!

I fly for an airline. So I am working. I do sequence during the hotel stays. I have even soldered some controllers in the crew room. Got to go back to chicago. I just can't test or put up lights while I'm gone

I dunno...couple of strings of C9's outlining the wings would look mighty nice twinkling in the night sky... ;)

Heck Jim,

I think we should give him a hand and one night wrap the whole plane in LEDs strings and then some kind of seq. so that as he rolls down the run way. Do a chase so that it looks like it is going fast and faster the closer it gets to take off. Then it can do all kind of fancy displays while flying through the air.

Heck...the Goodyear blimp does it...why not a 747...

Maybe I can pull some strings and have something set up on one of the 4 new 787 that are in flight test

Hey that could be one spiffy roll out for the big wigs. All that glitter and lights flashing. Now that would be a big WOW as it is pulled out of the hanger having all of those lights doing their blinky - blinky thing. Then they will be saying "well it was well worth the wait!" I am sure others will say "So, thats the cause of the big delay getting this plane to market." :P
