Possible Cheap FM Transmitter for Temporary Use?

Anyone know of a cheap option I could use?

I have a Ramsey FM25B that I have used the past 4 Halloween/Christmas season. This year, I fired it up for my Halloween display and I'm getting ALOT of static. Must be a bad GAL5.

For a replacement, after reading posts here and other places, I've ordered an EDM-LCD-CS-EP. It may take 2-3 weeks to get my new transmitter. In the mean time I'd like to get my signal working for my Halloween show.

I could get a replacement GAL5 from Ramsey but since it is a surface mount, I'm not sure how easy/hard it will be to replace.

Whatever I do as a temporary measure would really need to broadcast on 95.5 since that is what I have on my sign.

You can hear the music some. I guess I may just have to live with it until the new transmitter arrives.

The problem is finding one in stock at a local store. I haven't had much luck.

I did order the Ramsey parts. Hopefully they will arrive soon.

Yep! I just bought one. At least I will have a decent backup if I can't get the Ramsey parts installed.

At least it is the Halloween season and not Christmas!

Thanks for the advice!

Yeah! I received the gal5 part from Ramsey and got it to work again.

It will be good to have the belkin as a backup and of course I ordered the EDM.

Replacing the gal5 wasn't too difficult. Took a little bit of work to get the old one off. Just have to be careful when putting on the new one.
