coasterbp
Ok, I've just purchased and received a DIO 32 card that I'm going to use to control some relay cards.I've set up all the ports to be digital outputs, and I've set the unit ID switch to 5.When I power up the unit and connect it to the hardware program, it does show up as 2 units, 5&6 like it is supposed to. BUT, when I select the DIO Boards tab, it says that the DIO is not available and the unit doesn't show up. Is that tab strictly for the DAUGHTER boards?Thank you!-=BP
Ponddude
BP,The "Digital IO Boards" tab is not for the DIO32. That tab is used to configure onboard DIO boards like the BSOFT boards. The DIO32 is just a regular LOR controller to the Hardware Utility. You can use the "Test Units Operation" section or open up the "Console" to control the channels directly. Denpending on what type of relays you are using the channels may just be on and off, so fading isn't the best.Hope that helps a little...
coasterbp
Wicked. Thanks ponddude. I appreciate it. After reading the User Manual about 23 times, I kept coming to the end where the daughter boards section is and I just assumed that's probably what it was.Just wanted to make sure.Anyone know where I can pick up some of the 18 pin ribbon cable to use with my DIO32 card? The 2-3 week lead time from the LOR store will cut me a little too close to Halloween. I checked into Frys electronics with no luck and no luck that I could find online either....-=BP
