Terry Hurrle
I was testing some components and all was working. Then when it was dark enough to see the lights I had one channel on one controller not working. I checked the lights corresponding to that channel and they worked fine when hooked up direct to current. Any idea where I need to start looking?ThanksTerry
Max-Paul
Did you have any shorts and blew a fuse? Is this one of the DIY kit controller? If it was a kit that you put together, I would look at all solder joints from the Triac back to the first major chip (not to include the photo-optic chip). Look for a cold or different looking solder joint and touch it up by remelting and adding just a touch more solder. If this is not a kit, then more than likely for some reason your Triac is the most likely thing to have failed. Contact LOR for a new triac and replace the one that seems to have failed.
Papa-LF
Follow-up Problem resolved - Terry did a reset on the board, and it cleared the problem.Resetting, disconnect from wall, remove jumper on the pins at the top right of the board, connect power for 10 seconds, disconnect, place jumper back on the correct pins, then reconnect power. Now you will have to re- identify the controler - (set the ID number from the Hardware Utility) - remember to have it all connected up by itself - have it find the com port - and set the controler number.Answered here so others may find resolution to challanges.
