mikehorrocks
Does anyone have blueprints or plans for how to best lay out the pumpkin (or ghosts or whatever they are) for the singing halloween sequences. It looks like some use a metal wire framework, I was thinking of actually cutting out a couple of big pumpkins in plywood, painting them and then attaching my lights to those. I have not seen anyone do that though and I am wondering if there is a reason why (lighting , etc).Any ideas would be great.
Dave Batzdorf
This was posted by "Cracker" under Halloween 2009. There is a lot of good conversation on this thread.http://lightorama.mywowbb.com/forum83/20399.html Attached files hallo faces.pdf
toddmoon
I guess it all depends on what you are comfortable with. I used pvc because it is simple and easy to change. I overlaid the frame work with plastic mesh to attach my lights to.The plastic is not as heavy as metal as well and you do not have to worry about shorting issues. Dan C
I'm working on building one right now. I used 3/4" pvc and then painted it black. Then I used 1"x1" plastic fence material for the backing. Then just a boat load of wire ties. I'll get some pics up when its done.
mikehorrocks
So what 1x1 inch material are you using. Is it wood, plastic, did you get it at lowes, etc? Thanks.
toddmoon
I used some plastic netting you use to protect your garden from critters wanting to eat the daiseys. Simple tough plastic and zip ties is easy to work with.
