Newest Firmware Versions?

I just finished setting up my (new as of Feb. sale) #02 Showtime controller daisy chained to my #01 Showtime controller w/Showtime MP3 Director. I checked the firmware versions of each controller and #01 was v. 4.32 and #02 was v. 4.40. I wanted to update #01 to v. 4.40 but when I checked the blue board version on the firmware file here, it showed v. 4.30 as the latest. What's up with this?

Are my controllers okay or should both be the same version?

Also, is there a new firmware version for the Showtime MP3 Director? The firmware file shows 0.00 and I have read here that there is a new firmware update for the mp3 mini director. Nothing for the Showtime director?

LOR works just fine with varied firmware releases. The only issue is that if you want a particular feature or behavior fix, you have to have firmware new enough to support it on the controller in question.

As I understand it, 4.40 adds no features, and fixes no bugs. It only exists to support minor hardware revisions. I would expect that the next time there is a new feature release some new firmware version, maybe 4.50 will come out that will work on boards that currently have 4.32 and 4.40. Also, 4.32 probably exists in your LOR distribution, and the hardware utility would install it, but it just isn't visible posted on the support page.

Yes, I think there should be a new firmware release for the MP3 director, maybe as of this spring. I don't remember the release number, but again, pull up your hardware utility, go to update, and see which versions it pulls up.
