Steven Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 A few years ago I bought a box of red "rice" lights that I used in my "Tune Radio" sign. They came from Christmas Depot in 2007, but they don't have them anymore. Now I'm building a 2nd sign and I'd like to find a source. These are very small lights, 3mm diameter. The 5mm LED lights are just too big. Anyone know where I can get some of these?
huskernut Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 ebay has some.some are listed as rice lights but they also have listings as fairy lights that look pretty small.this site has one set that looks like it runs on AC and a bunch of battery versionshttp://www.1000bulbs.com/product/8017/HLS-6MAX100CLRG.html
scubado Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 Are you looking for individual lights to hand wire or ready made strings. There are lots of sites on Ebay that sell 3mm led's, I've used this vendor several times and have had good luck. The led's come with free resistors to work with 12v systems. Delivery takes about 3 weeks from China. I just finished wiring 1500 of them for part of my display.http://stores.ebay.com/accessories-lessBy the way, what's the latest on your kitchen lighting?
Denny Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 For at least the last three or four years, Big Lots carried the rice lights; but you would have to wait until they start putting out their Christmas items.
