dpavisic Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 I think I read somewhere that when using lots of CCr's that they should be on different networks. Can anyone provide details of where I find info on setting up multiple networks and does this mean that I will need multiple computers or does it mean that I plug in multiple adaptors into the one computer/Also any advice on the number of CCRs per network?
Ed P Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 How many CCRs are you planning to use? How many controllers do you use?I used 3 CCRs last year and used 1 network with no problem. But I have only 2 controllers last year with sequences with no timings less than 0.1 second.I doubt you'll need separate networks unless you have high numbers of CCRs and controllers. You don't need multiple computers for more than 1 network just multiple adapters.Personally I'd keep it simple until you see something that indicates you need to go to a second network.
dpavisic Posted August 19, 2010 Author Posted August 19, 2010 I plan on adding 16 ccrs to my current 10 CTB16pc controllers
CK57 Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 Last year I ran 11 controllers and two CCR's with no problem. I elected to run a dedicated network run to the two CCR's just as a precaution. Half my controllers are on an Easy Link also to keep from running cable across my sidewalk, or overhead. You just need to keep in mind that if you need to reload the drivers for the CCR's that they need to be plugged in direct, and only one at a time. I need to update my drivers this year as I beleive they have released new drivers version called CCR150D_V1-06.lhx.txtJD
