GaryBo Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 If anyone is in search of a good camcorder to video their lights, this might be a good solution.I recently purchased a Panasonic SDR-S50 , SD Video Camera (camcorder).Right now it is on sale at Sam's Club and also online with them for $179.00.Panasonic's MSRP is $249.00, and I have seen it elsewhere from $209.00 to $249.00.I know that there are several other good camcorders, but this one is a good one especially for the price. It has a fantastic zoom and is a wide angle, and has great low light and sound capability.I have “played” with it and have gotten excellent results.Uses SD cards, no hard drive, and has a USB interface.Links:http://www.samsclub.com/sams/shop/product.jsp?productId=prod1290064&navAction=pushhttp://www2.panasonic.com/consumer-electronics/shop/Cameras-Camcorders/Camcorders/Standard-Definition-Camcorders/model.SDR-S50A_11002_7000000000000005702
jimswinder Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 Do you have any video you have shot with it that you could share?
GaryBo Posted June 13, 2010 Author Posted June 13, 2010 Jim,Nothing of significance. Just a test video of my house when it was very dark and windy and an extreme close up of the casinos, which are approx 5 miles away (crow flies) from my house..Will have to wait until Christmas for the good videos.Video was a "mod" file extension, I converted to mp4.I don't think it will play in Windows Media Player, but will play in Nero, VLC, FLV or Corel Ulead.Forgive the amateurish of the video. I should have had it on a tripod, instead of hand held.http://s232.photobucket.com/albums/ee309/GaryBo42/?action=view¤t=MOV002.mp4
GaryBo Posted June 13, 2010 Author Posted June 13, 2010 I have been experiencing problems with photobucket, playing all vids. hopefully, it will be cleared up soon.
