jfelix Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 I think I have this right but want to double check. I currently run all my controllers daisychain style. The way the yard is set up this makes for a really long cat5 run from the left side of my yard to the right side. Can I put the network repeater in with conroller number one and split into 2 seperate LOR networks? That way I could run the left side of my yard and my right side of my yard withbeing daisychained together. This would cut out the long run going across the yard and driveway.
Guest wbottomley Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 Can you do that at the adapter? If so, that's the best way to go.
Tim Fischer Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 Not sure how up-to-date your profile is, but it says 96 channels, and you shouldn't need a repeater with that (or double or more...)I run about 1000' of wire, mostly flat phone cable, to (I think) 15 controllers and haven't had any network issues.
jfelix Posted June 11, 2010 Author Posted June 11, 2010 I am running about 14-15 controllers. I do not really need it because of channel count. Jut thinking of Ying the LOR network to cut down on the cable usage.
Guest wbottomley Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 I split straight out my adapter. Then, on one leg, I put a repeater in as a "Y" adapter.

JBullard Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 Joey,I have 23 controllers and use the network adapter just as you were describing, to "y" the cable in different directions to connect different sides of the yard. What you were originally asking will work just fine.
