jimswinder Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 I know there has been a TON of posts about the legality of transmitting our songs over an FM transmitter...but never saw anything about streaming to a website. Can we do this legally?Don't need to know all the FCC regulations or about paying royalties to BMI...just a simple yes or no will do...

Greg Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 Jim,I have not read that article mentioned by gary, but I do this using winamp and icecast. If you google those programs there is some great documation on how to set this up (If I find it I will post the link). I use icecast because you can password your stream if you like. I then embed a player in my website to point to the stream. It was fairly simple to set up.here are some links that might helphttp://www.icecast.org/http://www.winamp.com/http://icecast.imux.net/viewtopic.php?t=9http://www.korokithakis.net/tutorials/icecastThe last one is the tutorial I used to set up my streamgreg
