Guest Don Gillespie Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 I have two computers both are licensed with the same license when I am at work and have nothing to do I try to sequence a song or two well everything was going great untill yesterday when I e-mailed all the sequences I did to my main computer, when I open one up everything looked good untill I tried to make some adjustments I would try to copy and paste because I am adding more channels this year, a pop up comes on the screen and says(data from an encrypted sequence can not be copied except on the sequence's originating computer)I was sure I could copy and paste am i doing something wrong the sequences go from my laptop to my home computer which runs all of my shows I am going from 32 channels to 194 coping and pasting is very fast and would save me hours any answers out there would be great as I am getting frusterated :XAnd yes I also tried to e-mail one sequence at a time and tried it that way still does not work.
Don Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 Based on the error message, I would guess that the sequence you are trying to copy/paste from/to was created (way back in the day, mind you) with an unlicensed/demo version of the LOR software. As a result, LOR then did some encryption to the sequence. One of the things it did was limit your ability to copy/paste. I would try to create a new sequence on the same computer with which you created these sequences. Do the copy/paste from there, then SAVE these sequences. This (should) create for you a new sequence that is not bound by any encryption. That's my best guess.
Guest Don Gillespie Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 You are more than correct when I did the sequences I did thenm in the demo mode then I retrieved the license this should solve the problem thank you sir
Guest Don Gillespie Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 Thanks Don what I did to save hours was I inserted multiple channels below the original sequence then I copied and pasted the original sequence to the new channels, then I deleted the original channels then re e-mailed the new channel sequence to my home computer and voila everthing worked remember to delete the sequence off of your main computer before you e-mail the new sequence as you might still be working on the old sequence once again I am back sequencing for 2010 with little or no interuptions
lightzilla Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 I am glad you have that all worked out Don.I see that you are now running 192 channels this year. Are you trying to be the "king of channels" in Alberta? Well as far as Alberta goes you are close to being the "king of channels" at least as far as known Lor users in Alberta.Well have a great day. I am off to start sequencing again.
Guest Don Gillespie Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 No I am not trying to be the king wait untill next year when the sale is on again should be more channels to come can't wait
