edtrac Posted May 29, 2010 Author Posted May 29, 2010 I am trying to sequence a song but it taking a long time-if you know where to 64 channel sequences let me know-I like some of last years sequences but they are 32 channel-is there a easy way to double up channels without sequencing them-2 channells having the same control so I can keep last years and just make them 64 channels
ainsworth Posted May 29, 2010 Posted May 29, 2010 If you are not using tracks, and last years 32 channels are on the top and this years new channels are on the bottom, simply copy the first 32 channels and paste into the last 32 channels.I'm not sure that will give you the look you want. In going from 16 channels to 80 channels I was able to keep some of last year sequencing and only sequence the new channels. It still takes me a long time to do a song; but that is the nature of the beast, at least for me.
Don Posted May 29, 2010 Posted May 29, 2010 So with the clear and obvious understand that "easy" is a relative term, yes it is easy to go.1) Open sequence2) Add channels (as mentioned above)3) Open "Tools -> Channel Property Grid"4) Spend a few minutes to look around <-- Yes, just look.5) Now, copy the 32 channels (Device Type, Network, Unit and Circuit) from the first 32 to the second 32.6) Consider what you want to name the new 32, and do so.7) Press OK to save. Now, you will simply cut and paste the area of the first 32 to the second 32 channels. Some may suggest simply assigning the two new controllers with the same address as the first two. While that would work, for troubleshooting purposes, I would simply not do it. Take the time to do it right, please. Or, if you are just unsure about it, ask someone here to look at your sequences and make the changes for you.
