RickWIlliams Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 At last! The new 25 Controller Load Calculator is done and ready for download from our site at: Quartz Hill Christmas web site.Sorry for the delay, I know several folks have been waiting for some time now, but with baseball season in full swing, about 8 recertification exams, getting the pool ready for the season, and a endless list of new projects on the board has made this release very trying, to say the least. We will have a user’s guide available, it was darn near completed and it has just disappeared from my desktop? I know I have it somewhere, as soon as I locate it I will post it on the web site for download. The Controller Calculator is designed for 25 controllers; it is pre-populated with our working inventory of lights, and controllers. It is very easy to figure out what to do:1) Adjust the Light inventory to your specific inventory and light string loads.2) Add your controllers.3) Configure the controller pages to your specific layout. We have included a Quick Calculator worksheet, since I can never remember the formulas. If you happen across any error or any anomalies, please let us know, and we will address them as soon as possible and repost the file.Enjoy!
bisquit476 Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 Hi Rick,Thank you for the new version. Just one question, in the older versions the volts and amps were changeable in the individual controller areas, now they are only adjustable in the controller overview area, was this a change requested by users? Either way this spreadsheet is Awesome!! Very nice feature, adding the controller name to the sheet, helps with someone running different kinds of controllers. Thank you again,Bill
rjnitto Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 I've been using your spreadsheet since I first saw it and have found it invaluable for balancing loads. Everyone should use this. Appreciate the new version, but wonder what revisions other than the controller type and quick calc have been added. I notice that the "Changes" tab has been eliminated so can't tell what was modified. Other than re-entry of data, is there a way to import existing data into the new version? One addition I made to the old version on the controller totals tab was to add the Bank 1 and Bank 2 totals. Helps in overall review.Split freeze header missing on controller 1 tab.Off topic on your downloadable sequences . . . I looked at your Christmas vacation sound bites file. Very cute. May incorporate some of these into my 2010 display. Thanks.Richard Attached files
RickWIlliams Posted May 22, 2010 Author Posted May 22, 2010 We found and error, it has been corrected, and a new was update posted:"Controller 1's amp's are not controlled by the channel 1 amp box in the controller overview, it is controlled and changed by channel 4's amp box in the controller overview, which also control's channel 4's amp box." Also, I have located the Users Guide. I have a few pages to complete and I will post that very soon.Best Regards,
