Guest guest Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 A feature in the SEQUENCER UTILITY: (I can't seem to find the wishlist area for some reason)What I'd like to see is being able to use under the STAR(Special Features) OPTION ie the FADE UP/FDADE DOWN with the intensity setting without having SHIMMER or RANDOM FLASHING also selected. Many times I just want to fade something up at a lesser intensity WITHOUT the addition of random flashing or shimmering. So just being able to select Fade Up or Fade Down with ONLY the INTENSITY setting would be a great plus in my book! As this is a feature I'd use quite often, as it is now, I have to fade up, guess how long I need to make it, then try and use the regular intensity setting to adjust everything, again, a process that is far too long and painstaking to get right, so being able to just select FADE UP/FADE DOWN and INTENSITY ONLY under the "special effects area (STAR)" would definitely be a great feature to have.FEATURE for HARDWARE UTILITY:I'd also like to see the Hardware Feature have a REVERSE feature when you select all channels and it operates the lights, then cycles back, actually I'd like to see THREE OPTIONS here. FORWARD ONLY 1-16, FORWARD Then REVERSE 1-16/16/-1 (back and forth), and REVERSE ONLY 16-1 when testing the LOR Controller(s) for operation and making sure all lights are working. This isn't really very important, just think it'd be nice to have when testing controllers. Thanks!Clay

Forget the STAR stuff. There are a couple of floating intensity pallots that you can open. They are the icons with the question marks in them. There is one for start/end fade intensities and one for "regular" intensity.Pick the correct fade intensity and then when you use the "regular" fade tool it will work the way I think you want it to. That also gos for the "regular" intensity tool. Now once you have started working in a sequence and later re-open it to make changes, you can use the "Load intensities from current sequence" in the "Tools" menu to get the settings for this sequence.Dan

Smacking self in head here! :shock:I never realized that the end question mark would do just what I needed. Now insert red "stupidity" face here. LOLI don't know how I missed that Dan. And here I've been driving myself insane trying to get my fades working in a specific intensity by doing them sort of manually and all this time I didn't need too!Boy do I really feel stupid having missed this one in the software!!!And here I thought I knew the sequencing software pretty well by now. Just goes to show, still learning some things about the sequencer I didn't know was already there!Ah well, guess it happens to the best of us at times. Items right in front of us, but we just don't see or realize until we ask and find out it was there all along.:shock:Thanks for letting me know, now I know how to use that feature I won't be driving myself crazy trying to figure out the proper fade settings! Thanks!
LightORamaDan Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 No need to be red in the face... Now you ( and others ) know.Dan

Now you ( and others ) know.DanWell it's kind of embarrasing when the software is capable to do something you want to do and asking for an enhancement that's already incorporated! ROFLBut now that you have given me the info, I went back and changed all the fades I had done in one of my sequences that weren't just exactly right. Thanks to you Dan, I now have PERFECT FADES with no additional blips or jumpiness of lights/LED's getting a little brighter or dimmer, my fades are now spot on as they should be, with a very smooth transition from off to the intensity setting I wanted and then from that intensity to a very smooth transition to off.Even though the sequencer was capabale of this all along, glad I did bring it up, because it has helped me get my fades perfect! And hopefully, if anyone else missed this option as I did, this will help them make their fades picture perfect! Thanks again, you and the LOR folks are DEFINITELY THE GREATEST! Especually when it comes to helping us folks out with the LOR Hardware and Software when we miss something like this or just don't understand how something works exactly in it!LOR DEFINITELY HAS THE GREATEST and BEST CUSTOMER SUPPORT IN THE KNOWN UNIVERSE as far as I'm concerned!
