  1. Hey all,

I use a LOR1602 with built-in G3-MP3 Showtime Director to run my show.  I don't use a laptop.  I was looking to start using Smart Pixels with E1.31.

I can only find setups using laptops/computers and a network switch.  If I want to add smart pixels with a PixCon16, do I need to swap out my setup and run it from a laptop?

    Thanks,

    Roger

  2. I was trying to figure out what times I had set my show to run off on particular days and decided to look at the s1config.cfg and s2config.cfg files.

Using notepad and wordpad were worthless..  :)  I used an old program I have called XtreeGold..  It let me look at the files in hex format, which provided lots of information.  Here's an example of the beginning of my s1config.cfg file and s2config file.

    S1CONFIG.CFG

    25 02 01 01  02 00 00 00  17 00 22 30  17 00 22 30

    17 00 22 30  17 00 22 30  17 00 22 30  00 00 00 00

    00 00 00 00  00 00 00 00  00 00 00 00  00 00 00 00

    ...

    S2CONFIG.CFG

    25 02 01 01  02 00 00 00  00 00 00 00  00 00 00 00

    00 00 00 00  00 00 00 00  00 00 00 00  17 00 23 00

    17 00 23 00  00 00 00 00  00 00 00 00  00 00 00 00

    ...

I knew I had set different times for Friday and Saturday, so it seems the s1config.cfg is for Sun - Thu and s2config.cfg is for Friday and Saturday.  The start and stop times for each day are listed:  Start time of 17:00, End time of 22:30.  Pretty straight forward.

I decided to just change the s1config.cfg to an end time of 22:00 instead of 22:30 with the hex editor.  Seems to have worked for me.

Can anyone tell me what the first 8 characters before that are?  The "25 02 01 01  02 00 00 00"?  I thought it might be number of sequences, but I have 27 so I figured that's not it unless it's broken into a 25 and 2.  Two of the numbers might be the start and stop of the SxCONFIG.CFG files.

    Thanks,

    Roger
