  1. I still had my orig MP3 from when i first got LOR, which wouldn't play the tree at all and got the uMP3G3 (received last Tuesday) to get that going, thinking I could work off the extra jack in controller Two. so i unplugged the old one and put it in the RJ45 open on 1st unit and worked great, but I can definitely see the need for its own separate world cause the sequences are lagging a bit, and the one I bought from Brian B looks nothing like it does in VI.
  2. So I am back to swapping out MP3 units. Hopefully they will take back the little black one I got delivered on last Tuesday......
  3. Ok, i can take a breath on that part. Thanks. But if I can ask, I cant figure out how two split the network. this is my first year with the tree.
  4. its a LOR1602W, i wanna say 2 yrs old.
  5. Sorry to jump into the conversation, but this is exactly the theme of my question. I added a Pixel tree, and have it plugged into one of the jacks on my 2nd (chan 17-32) contoller. can that jack work for additional network for tree or do I have to upgrade my MP3 unit for the second time this season. If I can use that jack, how do I do it? Thanks for the help!
  6. Thanks for the response. I am not sure, but I just bought it this summer. How would I find that out. (Gee, I'm glad I decided to expand my world this year.....🙂)
  7. Hey Mr.Dibblejr, If i get to steps 14/15 and the config CCR/pixel button is grayed out, what then? if it matters, yes all DIPS are off. I also remembered to upgrade the license on the laptop i use in the garage.
  8. Fell for the Summer Sale excitement and think I bit off more than I can handle at this very moment. I added both a pixel tree and a singing tree, and have realized that I am way over my head in sequencing/converting my current sequences to incorporate the new items. I have been running a 32 channel setup and now have to incorporate the new props. I am hoping that someone can assist in Christmas sequences for this set up. I am willing to compensate for assistance, though free for the good of man contributions would be greatly appreciated. Thanking in advance

  17. I think you misunderstood the intent of my question. As I mentioned in my initial post, I had another adapter that worked just fine, so I was under the impression that it was not out of the ordinary for others to work. ("parts are parts" thinking, though I guess that shows my age!) and that it was just a case of me screwing up my software. So if I somehow offended you, my apologies.
  18. Hello all, I used to have a RJ45 serial connector that used to work great. Then I lost it. Bought a replacement (Tripp -Lite R450-000 ) that I cant get to work for me to save my soul. Auto config cant find it, and I am at the point that I have tweaked so many settings in my COM port (including deleting and re installing the port a few times ) that I have reached the proverbial end of the rope. What am I doing wrong???? Thanks in advance.
