  1. Don, Jfuller8400, Thank you for your replies. I was typing in my reply when yours popped up. I don't know why I was so reluctant at first to just move past the first screen of setting up the animation sequence without designating a channel configuration but out of desperation I finally decided to just move forward. I knew it would eventually be something simple. Thank you for the quick replies especially during this busy time of the year.
  2. I think I just figured it out. I was originally getting confused trying to set it up as an animation because it wasn't letting me set it up with my channel configuration but I just went ahead and set it up without my configuration and then imported it and it worked.
  3. I can't believe that after 10 years of sequencing with LOR Sequence Editor, I have never tried doing this and can't figure out how to do it. My show starts playing at 5p. I would like to create a 30 minute sequence of just lights and no audio that plays from 4:30p - 5:00p. How do you do that? It keeps asking me for an audio file and once I set up a sequence with an audio file, I can't figure out how to remove it. Its probably a simple answer that I will be kicking myself for not figuring out but I'm asking anyway. Thank you in advance for the time. Merry Christmas and happy lighting. John
  4. Speedster, my apologies. I didn't see this response come in. I purchased the Ultra version for $69.99. Working with it now so I'm still learning what it can do. Seems pretty straight forward based on the limited time I have been able to spend with it.
  5. Thank you all for your suggestions. I decided on CyberLink Director and just purchased it. Going to download now and do some editing this evening. I let you all know how it went and hopefully post some videos. Thank you all again and have a Happy New Year. John
  6. I wasn't thinking. That is an important piece of information to leave out. I am a PC person but I do have a new ipad pro with 256GB memory so an ipad app would also work. I have tried iMovie but it seems pretty limited. Maybe I just need to get more familiar with it.
  7. Merry Christmas all. I hope everyone had a successful lighting season. I live on a corner and decorate around three sides of the house and have never been able to get a good video from the ground. This year, a coworker of mine loaned me his drone and I was finally able to get some great video of my Christmas lights. Now all I need to do is edit it and overlay the music on it. What software do people use? I tried searching on these boards but I am probably using the wrong search parameters because I get everything but what I am looking for. Looking for some suggestions please. Thank You John
  8. Orville, your information combined with Jim’s is a huge help. I now have a good basis to start writing my scripts. Thank you very much for taking the time to reply and providing that information. Merry Christmas John
  9. Jim, thank you so much for the script. I pm’d you back. John
  10. Good morning Christmas lighters, hope all is going well with your displays. I finally have mine up and running and have decided to add some voice with greetings, announcing songs, and do’s and don’ts. I am lucky enough to have a friend with the perfect radio voice and is no stranger to performing willing to provide his voice and talent however every time I sit down to type up a script, my brain goes blank. Are there any generic or custom scripts out there I can use as a starting point? I’m not looking to copy anyone’s work, I just need some ideas. It kills me that I can sequence a song but draw a blank when it comes to what to say in the announcements. Any help however big or small would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and Merry Christmas to you all. John
  11. Griswold Style and Jim, Thank you for the quick response. It looks like you both had the same idea and Jim, your drawing is spot on. I am also getting myself familiar with Visualizer so I didn’t know it worked that way. I am going to try and figure that end out and I should be able to because now I have a direction to go in. Thank you for you help and guidance. John
  12. Good morning, I posted this question about a year ago and received no replies so I never figured out how to do it and wound up mot using my CCB's last year. I want to ask the same question but with a little different specifications. Hopefully this will make sense. I have searched the forums and watched the tutorial videos but have not had any luck trying to find how to do what I want to do. I apologize in advance if it is somewhere on these forums or in a video somewhere and I didn't find it. Here is what I am trying to do. I have 8 sets of Cosmic Color Bulbs and I have 4 six foot tall tree frames. I want to us two sets of CCB's on each six-foot tree frame. Each CCB has two strands of 50 bulbs 24' in length. I want to use each strand to create four columns approximately 6' in length. This will allow me to have a total of 16 columns of lights on each tree. My question is, how do I set that up in Superstar Sequencer to show a single strand of 50 bulbs making 4 columns? I can only find how to create a tall tree utilizing all 50 bulbs in a single column. Can this be done in Superstar? Hopefully this makes sense. Thank you. John
  13. I use the Rubber Mastic Electrical Tape from Home Depot. https://www.homedepot.com/s/elecrical%20tape%20waterproof?NCNI-5 I just cut it into short pieces approximately 0.5 inches long and seal it over the exposed female ends. I can usually seal about 240 plugs per roll. I started with the ones that are close to the ground and over the last couple of years I have been adding it all over. I usually go through about a roll a season. If you press it on, it really seals well. I have noticed the number of GFCI trips has reduced year over year since I started doing this. Good Luck John
  14. ChasinRudolf, I'm glad this solution worked out for you. It was simple and I love the way they stack for storage. I did the same thing and purchased two extra ones to protect the top spot light during storage. I agree, these lights are beasts, I now have eight of them and they wash my two story house perfectly. Thanks for the shout out in your blog whcih by the way I really like. I will be bookmarking it so I can go back and watch the progress. HAppy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas. John
  15. Brandon, Awesome show and sequencing. I have to ask, how do I find rotation spot lights like that. I've been searching for a while and can't seem to locate good outdoor powerful rotating spot lights. I'd love some information if you wouldn't mind sharing. Thank you John
  16. Papa6058, any chance you can email me that sequence as well. Just started to work on one for it and it would be a great help. My email is johnmitchard@gmail.com Thank you very much. John
  17. Brian, Thank you so much for the help. I can't wait to give it a try when I get home. I will be sure to ask if I come up with any other questions. John
  18. Brian, Thank you for those instructions. I was actually looking for how to set it up the mini trees in Superstar so I can sequence it. The above will not go to waste. Looking at those instructions, I know for sure I would have asked how to set it up in visualizer after I got it set up in Superstar so thank you, you saved me the time of asking that question. Do you know how to configure it in Superstar? John
  19. I originally placed this question in the Cosmic Color Device Forum and I think it really should have been in this one. I have searched the forums and watched the tutorial videos but have not had any luck trying to find how to do what I want to do. I apologize in advance if it is somewhere on these forums or in a video somewhere and I didn't find it. Here is what I am trying to do. I have 6 sets of Cosmic Color Bulbs and I want to make mini trees out of them. Since its a mini tree, I want each column in the tree to have only have 10 bulbs in it so each strand of 50 bulbs will give me to 5 columns of 10 bulbs. How do I set that up in Superstar Sequencer to show a single strand of 50 bulbs making 5 columns of 10 bulbs in each tree? I can only find how to create a tall tree utilizing all 50 bulbs in a single column. Can this be done in Superstar? Hopefully this makes sense. Thank you. John
