  1. If you are considering using George Simmons for your sequencing, I am willing to share my experience with George's custom sequencing. Feel free to call me at 806-248-1006 or email bgwyn@amaonline.com
  2. I purchased some RGB's firepix smart strings two years ago from Holiday Coro. I am not a computer programmer but I thought, "How hard can these RGBs be?". Well the programming in the LOR software wasn't too hard but setting up the hardware....oh my goodness I didn't know where to start. I watched all of David's videos and I got some info but it was too generic to help me with the little knowledge of computers I had to do it properly. So after 2 years of looking at those lights I decided to call the best in the business and those lights were going up this year if it killed it me. So I called D
  3. Yes Tracy the burn ban is a problem for us too. We live near Amarillo in a very small town. I would be happy to be able to use them for our opening night when we have our big block party. Since my husband is the Fire Marshall and we could have several firefighters and the fire truck here, I believe the city would overturn the county fire ban for just a few hours for the party. The fire machines would then be put away until the ban is lifted. During the time when we are lucky enough not to be under a fire ban, we would only run them on the weekends when my husband is home to supervise. It
  4. Here is a link http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/494643864/ceremony_dmx_fire_machine.html Thank you Jem5136 I would appreciate being able to discuss the ins and outs of using a fire machine with someone who is using them in their show.
  5. Hey guys, my husband and I are wanting to add fire effects to our Halloween display this year. I have searched the internet and have found some dmx fire machines used for concerts which is actually perfect. The problem with these machines is they are all from China and the fuel they use cannot be shipped into the US. I am nervous that if i order these i may not receive them and if i do will i be able to find compatible fuel? Has anyone seen any other options within the US? I am going to be really bummed out if we can't pull this off in our 2013 display. Any suggestions are welcome.
  6. Ok Steven I am going to give this a shot. I will let you know if it works or not. Thank you very much:)
  7. Yea Billy that is the document I am using as directions but it isn't working. Bangs head on Table:(
  8. Hello Everyone, I have followed the directions on how to set up the RDS on my EDM transmitter and I still can not get it to work. Grrrrrrr so aggravating. I believe I am not programming the Notepad command correctly as I am not very good with computers. If there is anyone who might be willing to help me for a few minutes I would sure appreciate it. I think about 10 min on the phone would do it if anyone has some time to help. Thank you, Buffy Gwyn
  9. I know! Everyone should take this class when they make their first LOR purchase.....it would save them an unbelievable amount of money, time, and sheetrock from banging their heads against the wall. It was THE best investment in this hobby I have made by far.
  10. This is my family's first year to animate our upcoming Halloween and Christmas display and let me tell ya it has engulfed every moment of our free time...buying, building props, and learning the LOR Software. I has been fun and overwhelming at the same time. Surprisingly, I was able to pick up a lot of what the software was able to do for me on my own. What was missing was how to sequence with the music in an effective manner and how to make that sequence pleasing to the eye. I knew I needed some expert help or I would spend years trying to figure it out and most likely give up. Well....th
  11. I know several people have said to be patient but I couldn't stand it anymore since people were receiving their orders and I hadn't. I called LOR and asked about my order and yes they received my order but the paperwork had been misplaced. They apologized and sent my order out today with tracking number and all. Woot!! Thank you to everyone who posted when they received their orders otherwise I would still be waiting and waiting and waiting.....just wished I had called last week. Thank you to LOR for correcting the problem so quickly.
  12. I don't think anyone is complaining. Some people have commented they have received their shipping conformations and others have not. Just people trying to estimate about when they might receive their special packages. Kinda like Christmas right??? Only 136 til Christmas.....compared to I will receive my LOR controllers in ???? of days. It's all good and fun!!!
  13. I'm in the same boat as you mmaness, order placed shortly after sale started and did not participate in the Try For Free and I haven't heard a word as of yet:( I only ordered two controllers.
  14. My husband and I are thinking of attending a LOR 2 day training. The cost is $400 per person and of course hotel, gas, and eats so you can pretty much say this is going to be pretty expensive. I certainly don't mind paying for this if it is really going to help us newbies out especially with sequencing. I would like some input from those who have attended one of these trainings. You may feel more comfortable responding privately but I certainly would like to hear about your experience. Thank you!
