  1. The class Matt Brown had on the pixel editor was just what I needed to get rolling. He had 2 hours and could of used more, but that class was worth the trip. I also did John Storms sequencing class, which was 3 hours. It was well worth the time spent. This is the 3rd year for me and I learned the most at this one. In fact I'm still here, plane doesn't leave until 6:45pm. On a side note the xlights/falcon room was always packed with people!

  3. This year we are doing a 16 house synced show- we had a meeting with the neighbors and some think starting at 530 is an issue for them to get home before traffic starts. Thew board had a meting and decided on 530 giving 30 minutes for people to get home. We live on a cul-de-sac so there is only one way to get in. So what time does your show start and why? Do you see at lot of traffic at the beginning of your show or when? Thank for your input :-)

  4. Sorry, you don't get to drop a bomb like that and not back it up. Please let us know who you were, who treated you bad, what your question was, and all the other details. Dan would have our tails in slings if we were to do what you are accusing us of doing. I take offense at the comment, and I want to make it right. Edit: 6:45 PM - I saw your name at the bottom of the screen as one of the people who were reading this thread, so I know you have seen my comment. I await your reply.

  5. I think that to keep the peace I would offer to start at 6, evaluate traffic after a week or 10 days and then decide on 5:30 or keeping it where it is. It's pretty easy to change start/end times, update website, etc. for a show so this isn't a decision you're locked in to forever. Keep the peace and evaluate is my advice.

  6. Well, we, here on LOR expect videos of a 16 house sequence. How cool is that? To answer your question though, 6-9 pm nightly, week of Christmas, 6-10. Most of our neighbors are cool with it all. I had only one time in 4 years of displays where a neighbor was blocked. Year before last I bumped it to 5:30 because folks were there waiting. Last year, there wasn't a need to and it stayed at 6.

  7. I drove over 1200 miles down to Texas just for the expo. Gotta say it was worth it. Only 3 hour drive? YOU ARE LUCKY

  8. Hi Al, just as a point of reference, the E682 jumpers DO NOT control the OUTPUT voltage. The jumpers control whether or not to power the internal workings of the board itself from 5v, 12v or other. That's really it. It will not step down 12v to 5v for the outputs. What ever voltage you supply to J19 needs be configured with the jumpers for the board AND it needs to be the same voltage of the lights you connect to channels 3-1 through 4-4. You can use a different power supply with a different voltage connected to J18, as this only supplies power to the lights on channels 1-1 through 2-4
