  2. We probably bit off more than we could chew this year! Deciding to replace ~187k minis that comprised our yard grid and 70' mega-tree. We were far from done when it was time for the big 'reveal' for our judging on "The Great Christmas Light Fight". As that day approached we had to keep making decisions on what to cut and what to focus on trying to finish. In the end, I'm proud the wear my new shirt that my wife made for us that says "If you can't see it from space, it ain't worth doing." I just wanted yall to know that I'm not really a redneck, I just play one on TV. LOL Here's the first vid

  3. I know my display is modest compared to many and I wish I had a crew to help me, but I decided to post this because I am rather proud of my display this year. Mainly, our neighborhood of 7200 homes has competitions between homes and neighborhoods that is super intense and I won first place in the category of "Most Creative Use of Lights!" I enter in the contest not expecting to win, but simply to be put on the map for people to drive around and look at the displays. 4. Hi Sysco and Don! Thank you for the compliment. Haha I'm glad the show is a big hit. I appreciate knowing that. Thank you :-) Feel free to email me video. I'd love to see it live :-) I get a lot of requests to play Let it Go and Christmas Vacation more than once in my light show. People either knock on my door or leave nice Christmas cards in my mailbox. Such a nice feeling :-)

  5. Nice to see another implementation of Brian's SuperStar sequence. I use that song as well. I was never in the military, but my dad served in the Coast Guard in WW2, and the Navy during Korea. I have great respect for all of our armed forces. BTW, although it's a little hard to tell in the small photo, but the bottom of those three flags on my flagpole is an Army National Guard flag which I flew while a nephew was in Afcrapistan (his name for it).

  7. Thanks for the kind words. The regional manager of a tree service saw our display and knocked on our door saying, "If you buy the lights for that 60 foot redwood, I'll send over a crew and lift every year to put them up and take them down. 25,000 lights later and he's been doing it every year for us. That was very generous of him. Bob
