Dennis Laff Posted March 2, 2013 Share Posted March 2, 2013 I have a 12 strip ccr tree =1800 channels also 12 lor controllers =192 channels .want to add pixel tree this year=4050 channels and 3 archs =405 channels using E1.31 for them . harrison0550 Posted March 3, 2013 Share Posted March 3, 2013 Its not as simple as how many channels. It depends on what kind of channels you are setting up and what you use to create the channels. Playback will also vary depending on what you put in those channels. Intense color fades or just on/off commands. This is why you will find varying answers to this question. Some will say they had zero issues while others had multiple crashes and severe delay. Its like taking a car to the shop and telling them it only makes a banging sound when you go over 55mph up hill but grandma who never goes over 35mph is standing there saying her car has never made that sound so it must be the user. Different strokes for different folks you know. Ive been able to load over 65 universes into the sequence editor manually with undo auto recording turned off and no clipboard files loaded. However playback begins to struggle after 20 or so universes (10K + channels) but again YMMV depending on what all channels you have on and how intense fades are etc. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Ron Boyd Posted March 3, 2013 Share Posted March 3, 2013 (edited) Andy Harrison did some testing recently and he said 22 universes of pixels on E1.31 Is the sweet spot.
