JimCanfield
I converted my mp3 file that seemed to be VBR to wav using audacity. Now I am unable to play in 1/2 speed, it is telling me that windows media player does not support speed control for this file. What must I do in order to be able to use 1/2 speed? I did some research and found that wav files work best, so is there a way to use a wav file in windows media player AND be able to use speed control? I would be lost if I was not able to use 1/2 speed. Maybe I need to find a way to convert it to a constant bit rate?
bob
When it tells you that Windows doesn't support speed control for this type of file, it also offers to create a temporary file for you that Windows should be able to control the speed of:"Do you want to attempt to make a copy that will work?"Answer "yes", and it should create a new file that Windows should be able to control the speed of.
