Summer time patriotic songs and sequences

toddmoon

Recommended Posts

I am working on a list of patriotic songs for a summer light show for the 4th of July. I am also working on a list of 70's and 80's rock music mix as well.

Has anyone put anything together like this? I have been compiling a list of Artists and it is getting huge. If anyone has sequenced anything along these lines I would love to hear about it.

Once I have made my list I will post it as well.

I was a newbie last year and my first show was for the Fourth of July.

I have a couple videos on YouTube. I built a 4' x 6' flag and stars and I did the following not all are listed but I did 17 in all.

All 4 Armed forces theme songs, Amazing Grace by bagpipe

Proud to be an American - Lee Greenwood, God Bless America - Kate Smith

Wonderful World - Ray Charles, National Anthem, Taps, Pledge of Allegiance

Hopefully that will help give you a start. Good Luck and and have fun.

Look forward to seeing your sequences.

Last year was my first year so I had a lot to get a handle on. For the 4th of July this year I am going to have a RED WHITE and BLUE arch. In the back ground I am going to have a eight foot tall guitar with five strings that will have the strings play to the music and the arch's will do there show thing.

I am working on my Rock music from the 60's & 70's and 80's with patriotic rock music mixed in. This list is far more extensive and will take more time to compile.

Making the list has been fun. Programming 32 channels for all of it will be time consuming to say the least.

If anyone has done some sequences to a five string guitar and is willing to share that would be wonderful.

After a lot of consideration and planning taking into account how much time it will take for a 32 channel program I have decided to use 1 minute from each song in the list and run a 90 minute program. 32 channels at 8 hours per 1 min of songs equals 688 hours of programming. For a patriotic song, Aaron Tippin's Where the Stars and Stripes (and the Eagle Fly) is pretty popular with the 4th of July sequencing crowd. If you do a search, there's several versions on YouTube. Along with many other song ideas. Here's

I know that Fleetwood Mac have produced a lot of music but I just do not remember any that really fit into what I am wanting to do.

Thanks for the input.

I have been working on my sequences for a month now. They are still in rough mode and not ready to be used yet. You may want to look at http://lightoramasequences.com.

There are many finished nice looking programs there that so many have shared their programming there. Hope that helps.

I have roughed out my classic and country songs. I have put together a few shows for my rock sequences. The 4th of July is coming up so fast and there is just so much to do.

I may just have to pick my top 10 favorites of rock and put my show on this year with about 15 one minute programs of each category of music. Classic, Country and Rock. I will just have to work on additional sequences for next year after the new year. I have edited and remixed my music to one minute programs to have a faster turnover for those watching the show.

I still have my Halloween and Christmas shows to put together for 2009.

Does anyone have Whitney Houston's National Anthem (from supper bowl) sequenced. Some on from my hometown had it a few years back, but I can't find it, and I have tried to do it myself the only problem is with that song I want perfection and I'm rather new.

I am now working on running dedicated power lines to my front yard for my displays. I will add some pictures later of my setup. The 4th of July is coming up way to fast. :dude:

I started uploading my sequences that I have finished for the 4th of July program. I have loaded about half of my programs on Lightoramasequences.com when I got a message that my limit had been reached.

Is the limit a 24 hour limit or when can I finish loading the programs I have completed? I have finished 60 1 minute sequences of 32 channel shows in three different genres. Classic, Country and Rock.:P

A couple of photos of the program I have been working on for the 4th of July. I have not setup the fans under the arches yet. I may not get to it this year. Too many other projects to work on besides my display. It has been alot of fun though.
