As I am building the prop tonight for the first time, the real prop did not match the node count diagram on the site. UGH! I will send the update prop when done. gsmith37064 Posted February 12, 2020 Author Share Posted February 12, 2020 (edited) Completed building the first singing bulb prop and all nodes are installed. It's not as nice as the singing tree. I may take a drill and add some more node holes to fill in the gaps. HC ran a PVC pipe holder right down the center of the mouth movements. So they are split into halves. Right and left side with a gap in the middle. This is where the PVC pipe sits. It's noticeable during playback as well. I know you don't really have any other place to put the pipe as the bulb is shaped as a bulb and not a 46"x46" square like the tree. Will figure something out. Also will see about making the eyes the same way as the singing tree. Lots and lots of nodes for the upper eye. gsmith37064 Posted February 22, 2020 Author Share Posted February 22, 2020 (edited) Just finished up the smart pixels singing bulb and tree props and gave it a quick trial run. The first 5 seconds of the song is of the Christmas tree running as a ghost with angry eyes (this should work for Halloween). I thought it turned out pretty neat. After that I use the Christmas tree with normal nodes programmed in as well as motion effect rows. Not sure if I really like it as it may be to busy while it sings the lyrics. Also used the singing bulbs as props till the backup singing kicks in. https://youtu.be/QJCt-VRTc9w @MattBrownCut and paste are both working like a charm in 5.4.2 as well as the auto flip!!
