How do I cancel opening a Sequence so a Preview doesn't update?

I'm wondering if anyone has found a way to cancel opening a file in the LOR S5 Sequencer. I work on displays for a variety of people, so more than once I've accidentally opened an older sequence that uses a preview that has since been updated, and I inadvertently mess up my sequence by archiving/adding channels. Since the previews automatically save changes (which I love 95% of the time), it causes extra work since I have to put the props and sequence back how it belongs. When I'm about to open something by mistake, I always get the warning screen that pops up telling me what props are about to be added and removed, but even if I click the "X" in the pop up (which usually means cancel in other programs), it opens the sequence anyway. Has anyone found a setting so that I can cancel opening a sequence? I know I can put the archived props back or re-import the preview file after deleting the one that got messed up, but a way to "cancel opening sequence" would be so much easier.

Thank you!
