Pixel daisy chain

I have a pixie16 that I am using to outline the house.  Can two 50 pixel strings be daisy chained?  It would be much easier to run a 100 pixel string to the upper part of the house rather than running two separate cables. Thanks in advance.

5V or 12V?

12V should be simple as long as you don't exceed the Amps per port (and the bus total)

5V you need to power inject (both for Amps and voltage drop)

Also, how can I calculate the amp draw and bus total?

Look up the specs on your strings for White . Or turn them on WHITE (via HU) and measure the with an Ampmeter that can do 10ADC

Bus total is just the number of strings (identical) times the amps

Pixie16 has 2 buses, so the calculation should be done per bus. #0A per bus Max. Balance your bus  loads if you have some short strings to keep the amps down
