PhilMassey
This MAY be a Win 1903 issue, since I apparently got upgraded while I was on vacation and it did screw my network up. When I open a Sequence in 5.3.6 make a change and try to save, I get this error. https://www.dropbox.com/s/js4u3uxvd9gq2hg/5.3.6 file overwrite.jpg?dl=0 It throws it again as I exit the sequencer, and it tries to save the preview file. Smells like permission issues but as far as I can tell they are OK, and I am Admin. Anybody else seen this, Devmike, as the windows guru, any thoughts? PhilMassey
I think I fixed it. The permissions on the user folder and those beneath had been set to a low level, essentially read only. Restoring those checkboxes in file permissions seems to have restored the normal behavior. Why Windows chose to change this is beyond me since most programs keep their data in that folder tree. Oh well I think I've lost the urge to sequence after all that. Think I'll go crank up Tool and clear my head out.
