RGB round pixel nodes for an arch.

Has anyone tried using round RGB pixels in pex etc tubing instead of strip and what was the result. The 3 or 4 inch spacing could be taken care of by using some rope etc to limit the space between.

I have 6 pex tubing archs been in use now for 4 years  when I built them I tried to use square pixels  because I felt they could take more abuse then strips  , I didn't like the look of pixels in the tube spacing was to big so I made the spacing from four to two inch still didn't like the look of the pixel thru the tube ,ended up going with 50 pixels strip per tube now they look like a neon tube much better look  but just my opinion .    Dennis
